Phil was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. At 15, he taught himself bass via early 2000’s punk and alternative rock, with heavy influence from Mike Dirnt and Flea, both pick and finger style. Phil played in a variety of projects over the past decade, including a thrash metal band at NC State and an original West Coast punk rock project with Bobby’s Fever in Durham, NC

 

Phil recently became enamored with Heavy Metal and MetalCore, inspired by As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, We Came as Romans, and Killswitch Engage.  Phil brings a punchy, distorted low end to WoR's sound, and is an unashamed sucker for any kind of breakdown. Phil plays MusicMan guitars, AMPEG amplifiers and cabs, and Sansamp/Tech21/Electro Pedals. He graduated with his Masters in Electrical Engineer at NC State, and in his free time enjoys Yoga, and spending time with his niece and nephew.
